Develop tools to be used by professionals in bioinformatics to study cancer. These tools use co.chat() with RAG using documents downloaded by the tools from the Entrez suite of tools that are used to access the Pubmed archive, a vast collection of research papers on a variety of subjects related to medicine. For example there are over 5 million articles that relate to cancer in Pubmed, and these abstracts are being updated continually. There is also a large amount of information in Pubmed Central, an archive of full papers with various subsets that have been cleared for varying amounts of commercial access. The tools we develop are meant to be used by bioinformaticians who use Python daily in their job and are very comfortable with the command line. There are some efforts to apply AI to study biology but we feel that with a CAGR of 23% this is a fruitful area of investigation. In addition, this tool can be used to analyze the business and financial prospects of companies in this area.
There are many new drugs being developed right now to help people live dramatically longer and healthier lives. There is an entire subculture devoted to finding new ways to live longer and some people take many supplements per day in order to help them live longer. These are usually high-net worth individuals who have thought deeply about Life Extension and already have a personal doctor helping prescribe them new medications to help them live longer lives. We want to help both these people and their doctors to find these new therapies. Our primary source of raw data is Pubmed, a vast archive of scientific papers relating to health and medicine. It contains millions of peer-reviewed, high quality scientific articles, but using the traditional Entrez keyword based search mechanisms, it is sometimes difficult to find the best article to support a conclusion like "exercise is good for you" or "metformin can increase your lifespan" in recent literature
